A week at UTOPIC through Leire Dallas's eyes: the vlog
Leire Dallas came to UTOPIC III with the camera rolling and has posted 33 minutes of camp from the inside: check-in, the bungalow, the classes, sunrise on the beach, the cypher and the goodbye. Watch it here.
Leire Dallas was already family: she taught at UTOPIC II and opened the first season of COUNT TO 8. This year she came to UTOPIC III with the camera rolling from the moment she got out of the car until she zipped up her suitcase, and she's posted 33 minutes of camp from the inside on YouTube. It's the vlog we wish we'd made ourselves.
The vlog
What's in it
A whole week told from the bungalow, the main space and the beach. In case you want to skip around:
- The arrival. Check-in, the first faces and the main space still empty, UTOPIC banners up and the feeling that this is about to fill up.
- The bungalow. Beds, kitchen, the window; the good-mornings every day, with more or less voice depending on the night before.
- The classes and a packed main space. Rows and rows of people, the group photo, the showcase under blue lights.
- The pool and sunrise on the beach. Stretching in front of the sea before anyone else is awake.
- The cypher. The whole camp around it, one by one in the middle. It's the moment of the vlog.
- The night. Purple lights, the party, and the «penúltimo día :(» that slips onto the screen.
- The goodbye. The suitcase, the last bungalow and what the week left her with, in a red tee, straight to camera.
What we take with us
Leire came, stayed and gave it everything: energy at ten in the morning and at two at night, good vibes in every circle and that way of hers of making everyone feel part of it. That she filmed it and shared it on top is a gift: it's the best explanation of what UTOPIC is that we'll ever be able to give. Thank you, Leire. This is your home.
