Cookie policy
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a site. These are the ones we use.
Necessary cookies
They are essential for the site to work: they keep your session and remember what's in your cart.
Without them you couldn't buy, so they can't be turned off.
We also store your answer to the cookie notice in your browser, so we don't ask on every page.
Platform cookies
Wix, which runs the shop and the payment, sets its own cookies for security, load balancing and the cart.
Our own statistics, cookie-free
We count visits, pages, time and clicks with our own system, which uses no cookies and identifies nobody. It doesn't need your permission and shares nothing with third parties.
If you arrive from one of our ads with the campaign name in the link (utm_campaign), we keep it in your browser for 30 days and, if you create an account in that time, we note it on your account. It is only the campaign name and it never leaves UTOPIC.
Marketing cookies (Meta), only if you accept them
If you accept marketing cookies, we load the Meta Pixel, from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Facebook and Instagram). It tells us which UTOPIC ads work (for example, whether someone who saw an ad joins the waiting list or starts a payment) and lets us show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
It sets the _fbp cookie (3 months) and, if you arrive from an ad, _fbc (3 months). If you're logged in to Facebook or Instagram in this browser, Meta may link this data to your account and also use its own cookies.
We are joint controllers with Meta for collecting and sending this data. What Meta does with it afterwards is governed by its privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy) and cookie policy (facebook.com/policies/cookies). Meta may process it outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards provided by the European Commission.
If you don't accept them, nothing from Meta loads.
With that permission, when you create an account, start a trial or pay for a plan, we also tell Meta from our server (its Conversions API), with your email encrypted and the _fbp cookie ID, so the data isn't lost. Without permission nothing is sent.
The map
The map on the campsite page is a static image. It carries no cookies or tracking, and only loads when you ask for it.
Tapping it opens Google Maps in another tab. From there you're on Google and their terms apply, not ours.
How you control them
The first time you visit, we ask. You can accept, reject or choose, and change your mind whenever you like with “Cookie settings”, at the bottom of every page, or with the button below.
We keep your choice for 12 months; after that we ask again. If you withdraw your permission, we delete Meta's cookies from this browser.
You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, the cart and payment will stop working.
