Analizer guide
Analizer is for giving feedback on rehearsals, classes and performances right on the video: pause, mark a correction, a mistake or a highlight, draw on top and write a note. Then export it with everything burned in, ready to send to the crew. You can play with the demo right on this page.
Contents What Analizer is
What Analizer is
Analizer is a feedback notebook on top of your video. You watch the rehearsal at whatever speed you like, stop where something deserves a comment and leave a marker: a type (correction, mistake or highlight), a drawing to point it out and a note. Then you jump from marker to marker or export a video with everything on it.
Everything happens in your browser: the video is never uploaded anywhere.
The first time you come in from a browser you don't need an account: the visit is free until you close the tab. To export the video you do need to sign in with your UTOPIC account (creating one is free and you get 1 month of Pro).
Opening the video and moving through it
-
Choose the video
Tap Choose a video or drag it onto the dashed area. MP4, MOV or WebM all work, landscape or portrait: Analizer keeps the video's proportions.
-
Play and stop
Play and Pause, or tap the video. The timeline below takes you anywhere, and the clock shows where you are and how long the video lasts.
-
Slow it down
Under speed, choose ×0.25, ×0.5, ×0.75 or ×1. The music slows down without changing pitch, so you can still count it properly.
-
Fine-tune with «5f»
The 5f buttons jump five frames back or forward and leave the video paused: perfect for finding the exact moment of a hit or a pose.
The three markers
Each marker has a type, with its own icon and colour, so it reads at a glance:
Correction, a light bulb in yellow: something that could be better. Mistake, a cross in red: something that's wrong or off the beat. Highlight, a star in light blue: something that works and should stay.
Pause the video anywhere and add a marker:
Markers (3/5)
The colour is used everywhere: on the timeline dot, on the drawing, on the note badge and in the video you export.
Adding a marker: drawing and note
-
Stop at the moment
Pause the video where you want to comment (use 5f to fine-tune the frame).
-
Choose the type
Press Correction, Mistake or Highlight. If the video was playing, it stops. A box opens in the marker's colour with the time you're at.
-
Draw on top
Choose Freehand, Circle or Box and draw on the video with your finger or mouse. You can add several strokes to the same marker, mixing shapes. Undo removes the last one.
-
Write the note
In Note (optional) write what you want to say, up to 90 characters. Short and specific works best: in the final video it's read while the frame is frozen.
-
Save it
Save marker adds it at that time. Cancel throws it away.
While you're editing a marker the video stays still: play and «5f» don't respond until you save or cancel. The drawing is pinned to the frame, so it comes out exactly the same in the final video, on a phone or a computer.
Moving between markers
Each marker leaves a dot in its colour under the timeline, at its time.
-
Tap a dot
The video jumps to that time, pauses and shows the drawing, with a badge at the bottom with the icon, the type and the note.
-
Or use the list
Under Markers each one shows its icon, its time and the start of the note. Tapping it does the same as tapping the dot. On Free, next to the title you see how many of your 5 you've used.
-
Remove what you don't need
The × next to each marker in the list removes it.
When you press play again, the drawing and the badge disappear and the video carries on as normal.
Exporting the video
Once you have your markers, export the video to share it: the drawing, the icon and the note are burned in, so anyone can watch it without the app.
-
Press Export video
Export video plays the video again from start to finish and records it. At each marker it freezes the frame for 2.5 seconds with the drawing and a card with the icon, the type and the note, then carries on.
-
Keep it in view
It records in real time, so it takes as long as the video plus 2.5 s per marker. Keep the tab visible while it records: if you switch tabs, the browser slows it down.
-
Download it
When it's done, the Download button appears with the file name: the original's plus «-analizer» at the end. It's an MP4; if your browser can't record MP4, a WebM.
The video comes out at the speed you have set: export at ×0.5 and the final video is in slow motion (with the music at the same pitch). For normal speed, set ×1 before exporting.
On Free it exports at up to 1080p, with the Analizer logo and link at the top (you can already see them on the player). With Pro it also exports at 1080p and, if you switch Logo off, without it; and if your video is above 1080p, under Quality you can pick Original (up to 4K). Analizer never upscales: if the original is smaller, it keeps its size.
Exporting uses one of your 4 monthly videos on Free (Pro has no limit). Exporting again without changing video, say with one more marker, doesn't use another.
On your phone
Analizer works the same on your phone: tap the video to pause, draw with your finger and type the note on the keyboard. The timeline dots are small: if they're hard to hit, use the Markers list.
To export, keep the screen on and the app in view until it's done: Analizer tries to keep the screen awake, but if you switch apps halfway, the recording can come out wrong.
If you'll use it often, the Install button on the app page adds it to your home screen with its own icon.

FAQ
Do I need an account to use Analizer?
Not to try it the first time from a browser: the visit is free until you close the tab. To export the video, yes: sign in with your UTOPIC account or create one for free (and get 1 month of Pro).
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. Analizer works in your browser: the video is never uploaded to a server. We only count how many videos you export, for the Free plan limit.
How many markers can I add?
On Free, up to 5 per video; with Pro, as many as you like. Each marker can have several drawings.
How do the markers look in the video?
Each marker freezes the frame for 2.5 seconds with its drawing and a card with the icon, the type and the note, then the video carries on. That's why the final video lasts as long as the original plus 2.5 s per marker.
Does the exported video come out in slow motion?
It comes out at the speed you have set when you press «Export video», with the music at the same pitch. For normal speed, set ×1.
Are my markers saved?
No: they live in the tab while you work. If you reload, close it or open another video, they're lost. Export the video before you close and they stay in it.
Why does exporting take a while?
Because it records in real time in your browser: it takes as long as the video (at the chosen speed) plus 2.5 s per marker. Keep the tab in view while it records.
Does it work with portrait videos?
Yes. Analizer takes any shape and exports with the original's proportions, up to 1080p in its own orientation: a 1080 × 1920 portrait video comes out as is. With Pro, if the original is above 1080p, you can export it in original quality up to 4K.
